What Word Search Solver Is

Word Search Solver is a free tool that finds the words in a word search puzzle. Give it the grid and the words you are looking for, and every match is marked in all eight directions and at every position.

The puzzle can come from a photo or from your keyboard. A photo of the whole page is scanned, the grid and the word list are detected on it, and the marks are drawn straight over the picture. Or set the rows and columns and type the letters in, or paste the puzzle as text and the grid grows to fit.

Why It Runs in Your Browser

Everything happens on your own device. The photo is read and the puzzle is solved in your browser, so no picture and no puzzle is ever sent to a server. That keeps it fast, keeps it private, and means there is nothing to install and no account to make.

Who Made It

We built Word Search Solver because we wanted checking a stubborn puzzle to be as simple as pointing a camera at it, and we still maintain it today. Found a bug, or have an idea for making it better? Get in touch.
